May 9 –
We were in Kotor Montenegro. From the previous Kotor blog, you would have learned that this is former Yugoslavia. Also the place where I climbed 1369 steps to the top of the fort. Today was much less eventful. It was another rainy day, so the 2 times I visited Kotor, it was raining. Hey, it was still beautiful.
Didn’t do much today. Went to lunch with the two young ladies I met from Nashville. After we walked around for a while, we headed back to the ship. I planned on working out, but decided I wanted to just relax, so I did.
Mia (singer) and I hosted a table for dinner. It’s one of our perks on the ship. We can invite a couple of people (or several) to dinner and just talk to them. The ship even picks up the tab for the wine. Socializing is VERY important to this company. I don’t mind it and with the perk of dinner it’s even better. What did I have you ask? Well… I had a seared tuna lion, ceaser salad, beef oxtail consommé, followed by a New York strip made perfectly medium rare. We all shared lemon crepes and some amazing chocolate mousse cake with crème brule as a topping and creamy filling. Oh my, how many calories did we eat? Not sure, but I definitely feel it tomorrow for sure.
After dinner was spent greeting for the show that evening, cleaning the library, and socializing at the “disco”. It can be a late night if the crowd really wants to talk you up. Which, they did, so it was a late night. Zzzzzzzzz…. Good day.
